Alice Selph Coney Casson (1916-2006) was the daughter of John R. Coney and Alice M. Bright of Jacksonville. In 1933 Alice married Walter A. Casson, Sr., a local land surveyor. After the death of her husband, in 1954, she worked as a secretary for C. Fred Deuel and Associates and later for an extended period as secretary for Pasco County Judge William H. Seaver. Alice and Walter had four children: Walter A. Casson, Jr., Alice Gail Casson Foster, Charles Peck Casson, and Judith Kaye Casson Sanchez. In 1957, Alice met and married Herbert L. Linneman. Alice and Herb both became real estate brokers working for L. L. Sims Realty and later for Herbert L. Linneman Realty. After Herb’s death in 1972, Alice continued to sell real estate for her own firm, Alice S. Linneman, Realty. Upon her retirement from real estate she served as a receptionist for Casson Engineering Company. (1956 photo courtesy of Walt Casson)
